Food Intolerance Vs. Food Allergy

Episode 32 – Food Intolerance

Food intolerance Vs. food allergy. What is the difference? A food intolerance, or a food sensitivity, occurs when a person has difficulty digesting a particular food. This can lead to symptoms such as intestinal gas, abdominal pain or diarrhea.  A food intolerance is often confused with a food allergy. A food allergy is when the body’s immune system reacts unusually to specific foods.

A fan asked us if we could elaborate on the difference between food allergies and food intolerances, and since we love our fans, we jumped on the opportunity.

Many people have food intolerances that can lead to low-level, nagging symptoms, or contribute to chronic disease. In this episode, we discuss the difference between food allergies and food intolerances, what some common triggers are, and what you can do to heal yourself holistically.
